My Story

Donna has nearly 20 years of leadership and human resources experience in the business and non-profit community.  She started her career at Microsoft where she provided executive coaching, organizational design, performance management and succession planning as a Senior HR manager. She also oversaw internal recruiting and developed a company-wide key employee retention program.

Donna has worked extensively in the non-profit community in the fields of education and community service including service as board chair of the Women’s Funding Alliance and the Meridian School. She currently serves on the board of Copper Canyon Press and is the chair of Seattle Academy where she also co-chaired SAAS Rising, a 35 million dollar capital campaign. In 2008 she co-founded the DBellew Consulting specializing in aligning culture, strategy and leadership to maximize organizational performance for both business and non-profit clients. Her recent clients include Pacific Groundwater Group, LabKey Software, Talbot Elementary, Renton Park Elementary, Progressive Majority, Washington State Budget and Policy Center, Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra and the Seattle Women’s Commission.  She is a graduate of the University of Oregon, has a Teaching Certificate in Secondary Education and holds a Masters in Organizational Development from Seattle University.
